Elizabeth has been writing for Australian television since she was lucky enough to land a job as a trainee script assistant on Home and Away.
Since then she’s written for over thirty television dramas and comedies, including The Flying Doctors, The Secret Life of Us, Wanted, SeaChange (both versions), and several episodes of beloved crime caper Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, produced by Every Cloud Productions.
Elizabeth also wrote the ABC telemovie adaptation of her hit play Secret Bridesmaids’ Business and created and wrote the popular ABC drama series Bed of Roses with her colleague and friend Jutta Goetze. Secret Bridesmaids’ Business won 3rd place in the Certificate for Creative Excellence at the U.S. International Film and Television Festival in 2002 and was nominated for Best Tele-feature or Mini-Series at the 2002 AFI Awards and the 2003 Logies. Bed of Roses was nominated for the Queensland Premier’s Literary Awards, Television Script, in 2008, and won the SPAA Award for Production of the Year in 2011.
